**Job Description:**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to our teaching staff, assisting in creating a stimulating learning environment, and contributing positively to the educational growth of our students.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist the lead teacher in preparing lesson plans and instructional materials
- Provide support to individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives
- Assist in the management of classroom behavior and maintaining a focused learning environment
- Participate in the organization and supervision of activities and events
- Help with setting up the classroom, preparing materials, and cleaning up after activities
- Monitor and keep records of students’ progress under the direction of the lead teacher
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required
- Assist with the assessment of students’ work and provide feedback
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and students
- Provide administrative support to teachers, such as photocopying, filing, and managing inventory of educational materials
**Qualifications:**
- NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or a degree in Education
- Previous experience in a teaching assistant role is highly desirable
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the teaching staff and other colleagues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive and nurturing attitude towards children
- Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
