Axcis Education is thrilled to present a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly mainstream school located in the scenic town of Shaftesbury, Dorset. We are seeking individuals who have both professional or personal experience supporting Special Educational Needs & Disabilities and demonstrate a real passion for enhancing student learning and welfare.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the advancement of inclusive education by providing tailored support to students with a range of SEND requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Furnishing 1:1 assistance to pupils, helping them to engage with their educational material and school activities with confidence.
- Utilising your experience with SEND to address individual learning needs, ensuring an enriching school experience that promotes both academic and personal growth.
- Collaborating with classroom teachers and the SENCO to implement strategic learning plans and accommodate specific educational support outlined for students.
- Observing and recording student progress, participating in meetings and training, and contributing to the overall positive learning environment within the school.
This role requires motivation, patience, and the ability to work flexibly with children of varying needs. It is essential that you have a supportive approach and the skills necessary to encourage students to achieve their full potential.
