We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive specialist all-through school in Frome, Somerset. This full-time, term-time Teaching Assistant role offers a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with a range of complex and additional needs.
The school caters for pupils aged 4 to 19 with a variety of SEND, including autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties, and speech, language and communication needs. Set in a calm and spacious environment with excellent facilities, the school places a strong emphasis on individual progress, communication, independence and well-being.
We’re looking for someone with personal or professional experience of supporting individuals with special educational needs. You may have worked in a school or care setting, or supported someone with SEND in your personal life. What matters most is your empathy, patience and commitment to inclusive education.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting pupils in the classroom and during daily routines
* Assisting with differentiated learning activities and sensory-based programmes
* Promoting communication, confidence and life skills
* Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
