Axcis are currently looking for teaching assistants to provide varying levels of teaching support to schools within the Chorley area. As an education agency specialising in SEND provision within schools, we are always looking to recruit enthusiastic and flexible teaching assistants.
Several schools in the Chorley area are looking to use our candidates to support children in a range of settings and with a variety of special educational needs. These settings include:
• Mainstream schools
• Pupil referral units
• Alternative provision
• Primary and secondary schools
In these roles, you will be providing whole class, group and 1-1 support to children who have a range of special educational needs. You will be working alongside other school professionals, including the class teacher and SENCO, to ensure that the children you are supporting can access the curriculum as well as having their wider needs met.
What we are looking for:
• At least 6 months experience working with children with a range of special educational needs.
• A calm, and consistent approach to managing challenging behaviour.
• Flexibility to work during school hours -8:30am- 4pm
• Ability to reliably commute, preferably by driving, to the PR7 area.
