About the Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will provide support within the classroom, small group interventions, and on a 1:1 basis where required.
No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who is adaptable, patient, and passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
Responsibilities
• Supporting pupils with SEND across KS1 and KS2
• Working on a 1:1, small group, and whole-class basis
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Helping pupils access learning and achieve their individual goals
• Building positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Supporting children's social and academic development
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who:
• Have experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
• Possess transferable skills from care, support work, youth work, coaching, or similar backgrounds
• Are patient, resilient, and nurturing
• Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Are passionate about supporting children with SEND
• Are committed to making a positive impact in education
