No School Experience? Transfer Your Skills!

Many of our successful Teaching Assistants have backgrounds in:

- Care and Support Work
- Residential Care
- Youth Work
- Health & Social Care
- Police, Fire & Rescue or Emergency Services
- Sports Coaching
- Nursery or Early Years
- Personal experience supporting children or young people with SEND

If you're patient, resilient, caring and passionate about supporting children to succeed, your experience could be highly transferable.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

- At least 6 months' experience working or volunteering with children or young people, including those with SEND (overseas candidates must have at least 3 months of UK-based experience)
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply (full support provided)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, proactive approach
- The flexibility to travel to schools across Wigan and the surrounding areas
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
