Teaching Assistant – Special School
Location: L25
Daily Rate: £93–£96 per day

Axcis Education are delighted to be working with a welcoming and supportive special school, who are looking for a caring and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join their primary team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with children who is passionate about education and wants to make a real difference to pupils with additional needs.
As a teaching assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to support pupils throughout the school day. You will provide encouragement and guidance with learning, help children develop their confidence and independence, and support them to access the curriculum.
The role may involve working on a one-to-one basis, in small groups and within the classroom, depending on the needs of the pupils.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
• Has previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• Has experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Has practical experience using phonics and can confidently support pupils with their phonics development.
• Is patient, nurturing and approachable.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Is adaptable and able to respond to the individual needs of children.
• Is passionate about helping children learn, develop and achieve their potential.
Requirements:
• Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service – essential.
• Previous experience working with children.
• Experience using phonics – essential.
• Experience within a SEN/specialist setting is desirable but not essential.
• A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
