SEND Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-Time, 8.30am - 15.30pm
Location: North Yorkshire
Salary: £90–£95 per day PAYE
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in North Yorkshire. In this full-time, long-term role, you will support students with a broad range of special educational needs, including mild to moderate learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health needs, and communication and Autism Spectrum Condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND.
Assist in the delivery of tailored learning programmes, both individually and in small groups.
Collaborate with teaching staff to implement strategies that promote inclusion and progress.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to inform planning and development.
Contribute to a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to supporting the holistic development of students.
