Description:
Axcis are working with a well-led secondary school in Hackney that is seeking a behaviour support assistant to work with pupils with SEND and behavioural needs, including SEMH and autism.
The school has a strong pastoral structure and clear behaviour systems in place, making this a supportive environment for staff working with challenging behaviour. Pupils are supported through small-group interventions and targeted 1:1 support to help them remain engaged in education.
This role would suit someone confident supporting secondary-aged pupils, setting boundaries and acting as a consistent, positive adult presence throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with send and behavioural needs
• De-escalation and behaviour management support
• Working 1:1 and in small groups
• Supporting pupils at risk of exclusion
• Working closely with pastoral and send teams

• Experience supporting behaviour or send needs
• Confident working with teenagers
• Calm, resilient and consistent
• Available full-time
