About the Role
We are looking for a SEND Unit Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities in a mainstream or specialist unit. This is a hands-on, rewarding role, helping pupils access their learning and daily school activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups
• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities
• Help pupils engage with the curriculum and school routines
• Support pupils’ social and emotional development
• Assist with classroom organisation and resources
• Work as part of a friendly, collaborative team
Who We’re Looking For
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is preferred but not essential
• Patient, reliable, and approachable
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to support pupils in a calm and structured way
