Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) Teaching Assistant – L30

A Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in L30 is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team this late October / early November. You’ll be supporting students with challenging behaviours and additional needs, helping them re-engage with their education in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
The Role
• Location: L30
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Pay: £13–£16/hour (PAYE – no agency deductions)
• Start Date: Late October / Early November 2025
• Duration: Day-to-day cover with potential for a long-term role after Easter
Your Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students build confidence and engage with learning
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation
• Assist in delivering structured lessons and tailored interventions
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Support students in developing social and emotional skills, preparing them for reintegration into mainstream education
What We’re Looking For
• Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours (in PRU, school, youth work, residential care, or support work settings)
• A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting students
• Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to build trust and positive relationships
• A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers and achieve their potential
