Teaching assistant | Chorley area | from £89 per day | Full-time positions

Axcis are an education agency that are currently looking to recruit teaching assistants to provide varying levels of teaching support to schools within the Chorley area. As an education agency specialising in SEND provision within schools, we are always looking to recruit enthusiastic and flexible teaching assistants who have a passion to work with children who have additional needs.
Several schools in the Chorley area are looking to use our candidates to support children in a range of settings and with a variety of special educational needs.
These settings include:
• Mainstream schools
• Pupil referral units
• Alternative provision
• Primary and secondary schools
In these roles, you will be providing whole class, group and 1-1 support to children who may have varying special educational needs or challenging behaviour. You will be working alongside other school professionals, including the class teacher and SENCO, to ensure that the children you are supporting can access the curriculum as well as having their wider needs met. Currently, the roles we are recruiting for are Full-time so would not be suitable for anyone who cannot commit to these hours.
What we are looking for:
• At least 6 months experience working or volunteering with children or special educational needs (3 months MUST be UK based for overseas candidates).
• A calm, and consistent approach to managing challenging behaviour.
• Flexibility to work during school hours -8:30am- 4pm
• Ability to reliably commute, preferably by driving, to Chorley and the surrounding areas.
Whilst classroom or professional experience with children or special educational needs is preferable, extensive personal experience with SEND will also be considered.
