Description
Our client is seeking to recruit a Technical Specialist – Investment, Fiduciary, and Pension Division, Guernsey.
Key responsibilities:
• Handling complex cases, including those requiring regulatory or enforcement actions.
• Overseeing day-to-day supervision tasks, such as reviewing notifications, changes of control, director appointments, and other submissions impacting licensing criteria.
• Supporting low-impact supervision, including the management of work-in-progress (WIP) and utilizing the Early Warning System.
• Demonstrating pragmatic decision-making and providing leadership within the team.
• Leading on-site supervision activities, including planning, coordinating, and conducting visits, ISRs, and thematic reviews.
• Reviewing and addressing findings from on-site visits and providing feedback to licensees.
• Analyzing trends and contributing to the development of on-site supervision programs.
• Acting as a key point of contact for inquiries from licensees, regulators, professionals, and the public.
• Representing the organization in meetings with external stakeholders and exchanging information with third-party supervisors.
The successful candidate will have:
• Expertise in regulatory compliance or supervision within the financial services sector.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the regulatory landscape and licensing requirements for investment, fiduciary, and pension sectors.
