The Role
This is a 3-month temporary contract within the client accounting team. The successful candidate will handle a diverse range of day-to-day bookkeeping duties for a varied portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
• Completing bookkeeping for a portfolio of companies and trusts, including investment transactions, within set deadlines.
• Reconciling bank and investment ledgers accurately.
• Assisting with ad-hoc accounting tasks and supporting the testing of new change initiatives.
• Discussing technical matters with colleagues to ensure strong team awareness.
• Logging all work accurately within the required timekeeping framework.
• Assisting with basic bookkeeping and accounting guidance for new team members.
About You
The ideal candidate brings solid technical knowledge and a practical, self-sufficient approach to their workload.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• Strong technical understanding of bookkeeping and financial transactions.
• An ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent), either completed or currently in progress, though relevant experience is highly valued.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to produce accurate documentation of a moderate complexity.
• The ability to identify and resolve routine technical issues with minimal direction.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to work comfortably to specified service levels.
