Role
This is a trainee-level position within the Client Accounting team, supporting the preparation of financial information for a range of trusts and company structures.
The role would suit someone with some exposure to accounts, bookkeeping or financial services who is looking to move into a more focused accounting role. Full training and support towards professional qualifications are available.
Key responsibilities
• Assist with bookkeeping across a range of client entities
• Post transactions including bank activity, investment movements and property income
• Support bank and portfolio reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with preparation of financial statements
• Support audit and tax-related processes
• Update internal systems and track accounting tasks
• Liaise with internal teams and support day-to-day accounting operations
• Assist with ad hoc tasks as required by the accounting team
Person specification
• Some experience within accounts, bookkeeping or financial services
• Basic Excel skills (including simple formulas)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Analytical mindset with ability to problem solve
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and develop within an accounting environment
• Interest in undertaking professional qualifications (desirable)
