A leading international insurance and wealth management business is seeking a Trainee Compliance Analyst to join its Guernsey team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate—or someone with some financial services experience—who wants to build a long-term career in compliance. Full training will be provided, alongside professional study support and exposure to both Compliance and Risk.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Programme.
• Assist with regulatory reviews and sample-based control testing.
• Review customer due diligence files and supporting documentation.
• Help with sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening.
• Maintain compliance policies, procedures, registers and trackers.
• Prepare clear working papers, findings and management information.
• Support remediation and regulatory change projects.
• Identify and escalate potential control weaknesses or compliance concerns.
• Gain exposure to risk registers, key risk indicators and governance reporting.
About You
The position may suit a school leaver, graduate or junior financial services professional. Candidates should demonstrate:
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Confidence working with data, trackers and Microsoft Office.
• An analytical mindset and willingness to ask questions.
• An interest in compliance, financial crime prevention and risk.
• Ambition to learn, develop and work towards a relevant professional qualification.
Previous experience within financial services, insurance, compliance, risk, audit, operations or customer due diligence would be helpful but is not essential.
