Description
New opportunity for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join an established Freight Forwarder based in Feltham.
Role will involve ensure domestic movements are planned, co-ordinated and completed efficiently including -
-Maintain a consistently high standard of customer service.
-Proactively identify and resolve operational issues.
-Ensure accurate and timely operational records and documentation.
-Maintain effective relationships with drivers, customers, suppliers and transport providers.
-Monitor and contribute to improved transport efficiency and cost control.
-Ensure Company procedures and relevant compliance requirements are followed.
-Support and guide members of the Operations team.
-Contribute to continuous improvement across the domestic operation.
-Provide management with accurate and timely operational information.
Skills and Experience required -
Previous experience in a senior operations, logistics, transport or co-ordination role.
Strong knowledge and understanding of domestic UK transport operations.
Proven ability to manage multiple movements, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience managing UK domestic haulage operations.
Experience working with company drivers and external hauliers.
Experience negotiating or managing transport rates and costs.
Experience using transport management or logistics systems.
Knowledge of relevant UK transport legislation and compliance requirements.

£35K starting salary
22 days annual leave
