Contract Type: Permanent

Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and proactive Education Data Officer or Data Manager to join a multi-academy trust’s central data service. This supportive role is ideal for someone passionate about data, education, and driving performance improvement through intelligent analysis and reporting.
You’ll be at the heart of a data-driven strategy in a high achieving MAT looking to become 50 schools in the near future, supporting schools and senior leaders with the tools, insights, and systems they need to make informed decisions. From managing MIS platforms to leading data projects and delivering training.

You’ll understand Education Data and ideally Arbor, although transferrable systems knowledge like SIMS or Bromcom would also be advantageous. You’ll also be working with SISRA and Google Looker Studio, although if you have Power BI or just strong excel that would be great.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement reporting tools that integrate with MIS systems for seamless performance monitoring
• Maintain and manage central MIS platforms
• Design and produce reports on key performance indicators across the trust
• Support senior leaders in creating and using data resources effectively
• Lead training sessions for school staff and senior leaders
• Ensure data quality and consistency across all schools
• Support schools with assessment management, census queries, and workforce data reporting with very occasional onsite work.
• Assist with onboarding new schools to MIS platforms and trust-wide procedures
• Stay up to date with national data requirements and system developments
• Contribute to trust-wide projects aimed at improving data processes and reporting

Additional Information
This role is based in a central office environment with occasional travel to schools across the trust.
This role could easily progress into a more managerial role in time, with potential for team growth as the MAT continues to grow.
If you’re a data professional with a passion for education and a track record of delivering impactful insights, we’d love to hear from you.
