Description

Our client is a privately owned, independent trust company providing bespoke fiduciary services to an international client base, including the establishment and administration of wealth management and asset protection structures.

Role
Reporting to an Associate Director, the Trust Manager will oversee a team of administrators and take responsibility for the day-to-day management and administration of an allocated client portfolio. The role includes supporting the Trust Directors in meeting team targets and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities
• Manage a team covering all aspects of trust and company administration.
• Allocate and delegate work, monitor deadlines and maintain high standards of client service.
• Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of an allocated portfolio.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and intermediaries.
• Support team members with complex matters, training and professional development.
• Assist the Trust Directors in meeting utilisation, billing and cash-collection targets.
• Ensure internal procedures and applicable regulatory requirements are followed.
• Monitor debtors and provide relevant information to senior management.
• Contribute to the development of internal practices and procedures.
• Attend management meetings and assist with regular management reporting.
• Resolve complex or unusual operational and managerial matters with support from senior management.

Person specification
• A minimum of five years’ relevant trust industry experience.
• Previous management experience is essential.
• Ideally STEP, CGI/ICSA or similarly qualified.
• Strong knowledge of trust and company administration, financial transactions, financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Proven client-service and client-engagement experience.
• Ability to meet billing, cash-collection and operational deadlines.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Able to manage, motivate and develop others while encouraging collaboration and teamwork.
