Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We’re looking for a Classroom Support Assistant to join primary and secondary schools in Rochdale. No formal qualifications are required; just experience working with children or young people, whether through paid roles, voluntary work, or personal experience such as supporting siblings.

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) — complex or otherwise — is highly valued but not essential. If you’re patient, adaptable, and able to help manage behaviour and support learning, you could be exactly who we need.

What you’ll do:
#Assist teachers in the classroom

#Support pupils individually or in small groups

#Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment

#Manage behaviour and support engagement

#Work with children across different age groups and abilities


What we’re looking for:
#Experience working with children or young people (paid, voluntary, or personal)

#Confidence and strong communication skills

#Ability to manage behaviour calmly and effectively

#Willingness to support pupils with SEN

#Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one
