Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Guernsey’s leading fund administration firms in a key support role within their Venture Capital Fund Administration team. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will gain broad exposure to venture capital fund processes while supporting experienced colleagues across a varied and innovative client base.
As part of a back-office function, this role involves working closely with both the administration and accounting teams but does not include direct client contact. It will particularly suit someone who enjoys structured work, has a strong eye for detail, and is looking to build their experience in fund administration.
Key Responsibilities
• Processing payments of invoices, capital calls and distributions in line with internal checklists and procedures.
• Updating investor records and completing investor updates in accordance with company policy.
• Assisting with collation of due diligence documentation and maintaining organised files.
• Supporting document management processes to ensure records are accurately maintained and stored in line with internal standards.
• Assisting with general administrative tasks such as answering telephone calls, greeting visitors and supporting wider team projects as required.
• Undertaking ad hoc duties and contributing to project work as directed by management.
Skills and Attributes
• A self-starter with the ability to work accurately and independently under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Excellent organisational ability and high attention to detail.
• Good computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Practical experience in, or demonstrable understanding of, the financial services industry.
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of one year’s experience in an administration or office-based environment.
• An interest in developing a career within fund administration or financial services.
