Description
Our client is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor with experience in Freight Forwarding to join them.
You will report to the Manager and assist in overseeing daily operations and managing the warehouse team.
Key Duties:
•Direct day-to-day operations, including packing, loading and dispatching, to ensure timely service fulfilment.
•Supervise, train and schedule warehouse staff to maximise productivity.
•Oversee process and management of all inbound and outbound freight for high-value shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with security protocols.
•Meet strict daily deadlines to ensure efficient logistics operations.
•Update and maintain logs as processed.
•Load and unload shipments from vehicles for both inbound, outbound, and domestic transfers, ensuring careful handling of valuable goods.
•Oversee all aspects of packing, uploading Proof of Delivery (PODs), triparts, and other relevant documentation.
•Ensure all quality control, safety and protection procedures are updated and adhered to.
•Provide great customer service at all times
Essential skills and experience:
Freight Warehousing
Valid full clean UK driving licence.
No criminal convictions or driving bans – subject to full DBS check.
X-Ray screening experience would be an advantage
Hours are Monday to Friday 0900 - 1800, there may be some out of hours requirement
