Youth Mental Health Support Worker in Schools
Axcis are working in close partnership with a well-regarded specialist SEND school based in Cirencester, supporting students with a range of special educational needs including Autism, learning difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs, and more complex needs. The school is seeking a full-time Learning Support Worker to start as soon as possible and continue until the end of the academic year.
This inclusive and nurturing setting takes a holistic and individualised approach to education, tailoring learning programmes around each student’s interests, strengths and abilities. Staff work collaboratively to create a supportive environment where every learner can thrive.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have previous experience supporting learners with SEND (post-16 experience is desirable but not essential)
• Be compassionate, reliable, adaptable and resilient
• Be a strong team player with a caring and proactive approach
• Hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel to other local areas, including Stroud, Cheltenham and Gloucester, as required
Role details:
• Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30
• 37 hours per week
• £13.69 per hour, weekly pay every Friday
