Description

Are you looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant or Youth Worker role in Radstock? Do you want meaningful work supporting young people with autism and learning disabilities?
We are recruiting a full time Teaching Assistant to support college students aged 16 to 18 within a specialist SEND provision at a well established further education campus in Radstock.
The role
• Full time, Monday to Friday
• 8.30am to 4.30pm
• £13.70 per hour
• Start ASAP
• Permanent after a 16 week settling in period
You will support students with autism and learning disabilities in both classroom and practical settings. This is a hands on role where you will help young people build confidence, independence and life skills.
This is a unique learning environment. The wider campus offers vocational pathways including:
• Mechanical engineering
• Construction trades
• Animal care
Students benefit from modern workshops, specialist facilities and a supportive SEND team focused on personalised learning. The college has been recognised by Ofsted for its inclusive approach and commitment to helping learners develop skills for adulthood, employment and independent living.
Who we are looking for
We care more about your personality and values than your CV. You might be:
• A Teaching Assistant
• A Youth Worker
• A Sports Coach
• A recent graduate
• A Support Worker
• Someone local who wants to make a difference
You will be patient, calm, positive and genuinely interested in supporting vulnerable young people. Experience with autism or learning disabilities is helpful but not essential.
If you want a role where no two days are the same and where your support truly matters, this could be the perfect next step.
Apply today to be considered for this role.
