1:1 Teaching Assistant – Year 10 (Brain Injury Support)
Location: Sutton
Start: September 2025
Hours: 8:45am – 4:00pm | Monday to Friday | Term Time Only
Are you a compassionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a supportive special school?
We are working with a well-regarded all-through special school in Sutton who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a female Year 10 student with an acquired brain injury. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September.
About the Student:
Fluent in both English and Cantonese
Has a diagnosis of brain damage and requires consistent 1:1 support
Engaging and motivated, but requires tailored support to access learning and manage cognitive challenges
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous classroom experience in a SEND setting is essential
Specific experience working with students with brain injuries or complex needs is highly desirable
Calm, patient and proactive, with a nurturing approach to learning
Cantonese-speaking is a bonus but not essential
Committed to following school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour support protocols
