Description
We are currently recruiting for experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within a welcoming mainstream primary school in Erdington, Birmingham (B23).
This is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated Teaching Asssitants with experience supporting children with SEND who are passionate about providing personalised support and helping pupils achieve their full potential.
The Role:
• Providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEND
• Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD or other SEND to access learning and participate fully in school life.
• Assisting with mobility and independence
• Providing reassurance and support during the school day, including awareness of medical needs such as seizures.
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to adapt learning and ensure the pupils are fully included.
• Helping the pupils build confidence, independence and social skills.
We're looking for someone who has:
• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Confidence working on a 1:1 basis.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
• A patient, caring and proactive approach.
• The ability to build a positive relationship with the pupils while encouraging independence.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
