Our client based near Heathrow is looking for an Air Freight Import Operator to join their busy, friendly team handling Import shipments from start to finish.

Perfect candidate will have minimum 2 -3 years experience in Air imports including costs, charging shipment files out & customs clearance.

Duties will include the following -
• Manage air import shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Receive and review shipping pre-alerts from overseas agents and airlines.
• Verify shipment documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Create and maintain shipment files within the company operating system.
• Monitor shipment progress and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate with overseas agents, airlines, handling agents, transport providers, and customers.
• Ensure all operational activities are completed within agreed service levels.

Skills & Experience:
• Previous experience in airfreight Import operations.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end air import procedures.
• Customs clearance experience using CDS or equivalent customs systems.
• Knowledge of HMRC customs regulations and import procedures.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
