An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and driven Area Sales Manager to join a rapidly growing and well-established business within the construction and building supplies sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a customer-facing sales environment, enjoys building strong relationships, and wants to be part of a supportive and expanding team.
This position offers the chance to take ownership of a regional customer base while developing new business opportunities across the market. You will play a key role in strengthening relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to grow revenue through new accounts.

Key Responsibilities
As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of customers within your designated region. Your responsibilities will include:
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with both new and existing customers
• Conducting regular site visits to understand customer needs and provide product solutions
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the construction and trade sectors
• Preparing and sending competitive quotations and following up to secure orders
• Raising and processing sales orders efficiently
• Sourcing products and coordinating with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met
• Managing and growing an existing customer base while expanding market presence
• Providing excellent customer service and acting as a trusted advisor to clients
• Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth

The ideal candidate will be a motivated sales professional with strong relationship-building skills and a proactive approach to business development.
You will ideally have:
• Previous experience in a field sales or account management role
• A background within builders’ merchants, construction supplies, or related industries
• A good understanding of consumable building products
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to manage your own schedule and work independently
• A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service
• A full UK driving licence
