A well-established financial services organisation is seeking an Assistant Company Secretary to support the corporate governance function and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with company secretarial experience in the finance industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the administration of corporate governance matters, including preparing for Board and Committee meetings.
• Maintain statutory books, corporate records, agreements, and regulatory registrations.
• Ensure compliance with corporate regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Provide company secretarial and administrative support, ensuring the highest governance standards.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, including the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC).
• Oversee the timely submission of corporate returns and regulatory filings.
• Support risk and audit functions by implementing and monitoring risk mitigation controls.
• Assist with client due diligence (CDD) and maintain compliance with risk assessment protocols.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency within the company secretarial function.
Skills & Experience
• Minimum of two years’ experience in the finance industry, preferably in a company secretarial role.
• Knowledge of Guernsey’s legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Board Intelligence and Diligent platforms.
• Understanding of Guernsey Company Registry and GFSC online portals.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Protected Cell Companies (PCC) or the insurance sector is desirable.
