Audit Senior (Not-for-Profit) | West Midlands | £36,000 – £46,000 (DOE)

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in the West Midlands is looking for an experienced Audit Senior with a not-for-profit background to join their specialist team. As Audit Senior, you'll lead audit assignments across a varied portfolio of charitable and third sector organisations, building trusted client relationships and developing your technical expertise. There's a clear pathway to assistant manager level and a collaborative, purpose-driven team culture. What is the day-to-day of the role?

Leading audit assignments across a not-for-profit client portfolio from planning through to completion
Preparing and reviewing audit files to a high technical standard
Supervising and coaching junior team members on assignments
Acting as a key client contact throughout the audit process
Keeping up to date with charity SORP, UK auditing standards, and relevant regulatory requirements
Communicating audit findings clearly to managers and partners

Required Skills and Qualifications:

ACA or ACCA qualified, or close to qualification, with a strong audit and not-for-profit background
At least three years' experience within a UK practice environment
Proven experience leading audit assignments across charitable or third sector organisations
Strong technical knowledge of charity SORP, UK auditing standards, and financial reporting frameworks
Confident and professional client-facing manner
Well organised with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
