We are seeking an AV Engineer with strong foundations in Video, Lighting, and Audio systems, who is equally passionate about the design and engineering behind high-quality event production and fixed installations. This position provides opportunities to grow into specialised areas such as water effects and laser technologies, contributing to the development and execution of innovative, technically complex installations.
The role combines hands-on event delivery, system engineering, equipment preparation, and involvement in the design, build, and installation of permanent and temporary AV systems. You will also support the efficient running of our warehouse, ensuring all equipment is maintained to a professional standard.

Key Responsibilities
Event Delivery, Installation Works & Technical Preparation
• Prepare, configure, and test equipment for events and installations.
• Assist in the design and build of AV systems for both temporary and permanent installations.
• Maintain and service AV hire stock, water effect systems, and associated components.
• Deliver and operate AV systems onsite, ensuring professional and reliable execution.
• Participate in installation projects delivered by the team, contributing technical and engineering support.
• Implement and uphold quality-control measures across all production outputs.

Technical Expertise & Engineering Focus
• Strong working knowledge of video, lighting, audio, staging, and general event technology.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and assist in designing AV system layouts and signal flows.
• Hands-on experience with IT networking and the configuration of AV-related network systems.
• Efficient setup, operation, troubleshooting, and breakdown of AV equipment at events.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in real time under pressure.
• Develop skills and knowledge relating to water-based effects, floatation systems, and associated rigging.
• Support the engineering and assembly of water effect systems for events and installations.

Experience & Skills Required
• Proven experience as an AV Technician or Engineer within the events industry and or AV within the attraction industry.
• Comfortable working with a broad spectrum of clients and event types.
• Strong technical knowledge of AV systems, production workflows, and engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to multitask effectively in fast-moving work environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, early mornings, and occasional weekends as required by event schedules.
• CAD skills preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint and SharePoint) advantageous.

40 hours per week with overtime paid pro rata
