Description

We’re looking for an experienced AV Project Manager (Live Events) to own the technical planning, coordination and on-site delivery of events ranging from executive meetings to large-scale productions. This is a hands-on, client-facing role working with cutting-edge technology, luxury venues and high-profile clients to deliver flawless events from concept to completion.
Description
The AV Project Manager (Live Events) Areas of Responsibility:
• Lead end-to-end delivery of live events within high-end venues: pre-production planning, on-site build, show operation and de-rig.
• Act as the main client contact—gather requirements, advise on solutions, manage expectations and ensure a premium service throughout.
• Create quotes and technical plans including set designs/visuals, equipment lists and crew requirements; coordinate logistics and equipment movements.
• Drive revenue through upselling and value-add production enhancements (video, staging, content, additional technical solutions).
• Build repeat business: maintain a client database, follow up post-event and use feedback to continually improve service.
• Own budgets and processes—prioritise in-house kit/crew, negotiate rates, track revenue and maintain clear reporting on quotes, kit and event activity.
• Build strong relationships with venue teams (sales, banqueting, front of house) and internal operations to ensure smooth delivery and repeat business.
• Manage resourcing: schedule technicians, delegate tasks, brief the team and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
Required skills
• Proven AV project management experience delivering live events (corporate/conference/hospitality or similar).
• Strong technical knowledge across audio, video, lighting and control systems; confident troubleshooting on-site.
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management in premium environments.
• Strong commercial awareness (quoting, upselling and delivering to budget) and ability to manage multiple events at once.
• Team leadership skills—able to brief, schedule and coordinate technicians and third-party crew.
