As an AV Project Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of best-in-class Audio Visual systems to a nationwide network of customers, focusing on new build and major refurbishment projects. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards—making a positive impact on thousands of people every day.
You’ll take ownership of assigned projects from handover, working closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to agree clear timelines and milestones. You’ll coordinate resources, manage dependencies, and ensure quality at every stage—from kick off to handover and training. You’ll be responsible for financial performance, project reporting, and maintaining strong client relationships, all while driving progress and resolving challenges as they arise.
Role Responsibilities
• Attend handover meetings from the Commercial team and take ownership of assigned projects.
• Work closely with clients, main contractors, and consultants to agree clear project timelines and milestones.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Management team to ensure appropriate labour resources are available.
• Coordinate with Stock and Procurement teams to ensure timely material purchasing and avoid excess stockholding.
• Progress all project dependencies and maintain momentum throughout delivery.
• Attend site for kick off meetings and conduct regular onsite progress inspections.
• Take responsibility for the quality of handover, training, and O&M documentation.
• Motivate and support Installation teams, resolving issues and challenges as they arise.
• Track costs, variations, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Take full ownership of financial performance, quality, and client relationships.
• Report project progress to the business and key stakeholders, conduct lessons learned reviews, and identify improved ways of working.
Essential Requirements
• Proven experience as a Project Manager with strong AV industry knowledge.
• Good understanding of AV equipment, including digital video, projection systems, control systems, DSPs, audio systems, large format displays, DMX lighting, and BMS integration.
• Familiarity with AV industry standards (e.g., AVIXA/InfoComm) and certifications (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I) is a plus.
• Experience with design software (AutoCAD, Visio, etc.) is desirable.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, project challenges, and site delays/changes.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Full UK Driver’s Licence.
National Travel Essential. Hybrid -3 days per week in Sheffield – if not on the road.
