Description
The client is an established AV integration specialist looking to recruit an experienced Audio Visual Service Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of corporate and public sector clients.
This is a varied role that combines on-site service visits with office-based technical support. You'll be responsible for maintaining installed AV and collaboration systems, diagnosing faults, carrying out preventative maintenance, providing remote support and ensuring service records are accurately maintained.
The position involves travel to customer sites throughout London and the South of England, with occasional nationwide travel where required.
Key Responsibilities
• Service, maintain and troubleshoot integrated AV systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits.
• Provide remote technical support to customers.
• Update firmware and software across installed systems.
• Produce detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Schedule and coordinate service activities alongside the wider engineering team.
• Deliver a professional, customer-focused service at all times.
Experience Required
We're looking for someone with experience supporting commercial AV installations who can confidently diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field.
Ideally, you'll have experience with:
• Integrated AV and meeting room technologies.
• AV control platforms such as Crestron, Extron or Q-SYS.
• Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco collaboration systems or similar UC platforms.
• Wireless presentation solutions.
• Audio DSP configuration and troubleshooting.
• Reading technical drawings and system schematics.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
A CTS qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
Due to the nature of some customer environments, applicants must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance and hold a full UK driving licence.
