An established offshore law firm is seeking a Client Take-on Manager to lead and develop their Client Take-on Team, which supports offices across multiple jurisdictions including Jersey, Guernsey, Cayman, BVI and Singapore. This is a full-time, office-based position in Jersey, reporting to and deputising for the Senior Manager.

The Role
You will oversee a team of four Jersey-based professionals, managing day-to-day operations and deputising for the Senior Manager during absences. The role focuses on ensuring efficient and compliant client onboarding processes in line with local regulations and best practice, with no travel required. You will act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to colleagues, streamlining processes, and liaising with the Compliance team for sign-off on client files.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, manage and develop the Client Take-on Team to deliver exceptional service
• Monitor onboarding progress, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and regulatory standards
• Review and optimise group take-on processes in conjunction with Compliance
• Provide training, mentoring and performance management for the team
• Act as a key point of contact for technical advice on client onboarding and AML compliance
• Escalate risks and issues promptly to relevant stakeholders
Skills & Experience
• Strong understanding of a Client Take-on (CTO) function, ideally gained in a legal environment
• Broad experience of trusts, funds, and company structures
• Proven leadership and people management experience
• Sound knowledge of local regulatory requirements and AML frameworks
• Strong organisational, communication and IT skills
• ICA or other compliance qualification desirable
