The successful candidate will deliver hands-on support to students with a diverse range of learning difficulties and disabilities, ensuring they achieve their full potential within an inclusive educational environment.
Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups, adapting to their unique educational, social, and emotional needs.
• Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher to implement effective teaching strategies and learning plans.
• Assist in the development of students’ communication skills, independence, and self-confidence.
• Employ various tools and resources to facilitate an interactive and engaging learning experience.
• Monitor and report on the progress of students, contributing to the evaluation of their development and the effectiveness of educational programs.
• Manage challenging behaviour with appropriate strategies and in line with the school’s policies.
• Aid students with personal care tasks, physical mobility, and other daily activities where necessary.
• Attend and participate in related meetings, contributing insights from your work with students.
Requirements:
• Relevant experience or qualifications in special educational needs (SEN).
• A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to working with children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of SEN.
