Our client is an established provider of fiduciary and corporate services, operating within a regulated financial services environment. The business places a strong emphasis on governance, risk management and maintaining high standards of compliance across its operations.
Role
This position sits within the Regulatory Compliance team, supporting the ongoing development and oversight of the compliance framework. The role involves monitoring, reporting and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities
• Take ownership of the compliance monitoring programme, including testing and follow-up actions
• Support the Corporate Governance Risk Committee, including meeting coordination, minutes and action tracking
• Assist with board reporting and regulatory updates
• Undertake sanctions screening and maintain relevant registers
• Review regulatory notices and identify required actions
• Contribute to the development and updating of policies, procedures and risk assessments
• Support the maintenance of compliance risk frameworks and registers
• Provide compliance guidance to internal teams and stakeholders
• Assist with staff training initiatives and compliance awareness
• Attend business committee meetings where required and provide compliance input
• Potential to take on Nominated Officer responsibilities following successful probation
Person specification
• Relevant compliance or legal qualification (for example ICA Certificate) or working towards
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a compliance or risk-based role
• Good understanding of the GFSC regulatory framework
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive and organised approach with the ability to manage workload effectively
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
