We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Cover Supervisor to provide consistent supervision across our secondary school. This role is perfect for those looking to gain teaching experience, support young people, or transition into a teaching career. You will be responsible for maintaining learning standards in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise classes and maintain high standards of behaviour
• Deliver pre-prepared work and instructions from the absent teacher
• Support students with their learning when needed
• Ensure the classroom environment is safe, orderly, and conducive to learning
• Report on pupil behaviour and progress to the relevant teacher
• Assist with school events and general administrative tasks when required
Requirements
• Experience working with children or young people
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage behaviour calmly and confidently
• Reliable, adaptable, and professional attitude
