A leading financial services group is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to help safeguard its networks, systems, and cloud environments. This position can be based in Guernsey, the Isle of Man, the UK, or Ireland, offering flexibility for candidates across these locations.
About the Role
The successful candidate will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and take action to protect critical systems from unauthorised access. Duties include analysing alerts, managing vulnerabilities, supporting incident recovery, and escalating issues when required. Strong technical capability, analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor networks, systems, and cloud environments for threats and suspicious activity.
• Investigate security incidents and support recovery actions.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and contribute to ongoing risk management.
• Produce clear incident reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvements in security controls, processes, and awareness across the business.
Skills & Experience
• Minimum three years’ hands-on experience in incident response and SIEM tools.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, digital forensics, and cloud technologies (Azure / MS 365).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to analyse data and provide clear guidance.
• Relevant certifications such as CySA+, GCIH, or CCOA are beneficial.
