Based in Cambridge the Data Scientist / Engineer will be joining an exciting organisation to work in the field of Medical Sequencing The Data Scientist will be joining a cloud engineering group working to unlock the value of the data generated within the business. Responsibilities will include the design, build and operation of their data lake and data pipeline architecture to support scientist and engineers to make data driven decisions.

This opportunity would suit a candidate from a variety of backgrounds, including Data Science, Machine Learning, Bioinformatic or Computational Biology.

The successful candidate will have a good relevant Degree, ideally a PhD in a STEM field, ideally with some commercial experience or PhD level research in Data Science or Engineering.

Other areas of interest include:

• Advanced SQL, with some R, or Python

• AWS / Cloud experience

• Bioinformatics
