Fire Door Site Manager – School Holiday Works (4 Positions)
Location: South London (x3) & North London (x1)
Day Rate: £280 Per Day
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Fire Door Site Managers to join a short-term but high-priority contract delivering fire door works across schools in London during the upcoming school holidays. Four positions are available — three based in South London and one in North London — running for approximately seven weeks. This is fast-paced, time-critical work requiring strong organisation and a hands-on approach to managing installation teams within tight school holiday windows.
Please note: an Enhanced DBS check is required for all candidates, in line with the contract requirements of working within schools. This is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.
The Role
As Fire Door Site Manager, you will oversee the delivery of fire door installation works across school sites, managing a team of 4 joiners on each project. You will be responsible for ensuring works are completed safely, to programme and to the required compliance standards within the school holiday period, working closely with joiners on site to maintain quality and pace throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day site operations across fire door installation works within schools
Manage and coordinate a team of 4 joiners per site
Ensure all works are completed safely, on time and to the required quality and compliance standards
Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and ensure health & safety compliance throughout
Conduct quality checks and inspections of completed fire door installations
Liaise with school site contacts and client representatives professionally throughout the works
Manage materials, deliveries and site logistics to keep works on programme
Ensure works are fully completed within the school holiday window
Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and compliance documentation
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Site Manager within fire door installation works
Experience managing joiners or installation teams on site
Enhanced DBS check required (within the last 3 years) — essential for all candidates working within schools
Experience working within school or other safeguarding-sensitive environments — desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to deliver works to a tight school holiday deadline
CSCS Card — required
SMSTS or SSSTS — required
Strong communication and client-facing skills
