Kenton Black Finance are supporting an organisation in Barrow-in-Furness to appoint a new Accounts Assistant within their finance department. This opportunity has arisen due to an internal promotion and the role offers excellent variation in a hands on role which supports all finance operations.

Your New Role as Accounts Assistant:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the new Accounts Assistant will take responsibility for the following duties:
• Processing invoices and supplier statement reconciliations
• Posting journals
• Reconciling control accounts
• Posting cashbook receipts and daily payments
• Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns
• Management of petty cash and employee expenses
• Monitoring creditor and debtor balances, chasing payments as needed
• Provision of ad hoc reports and analysis for senior management to help decision making
• Liaison with internal stakeholders to deliver financial insight
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
To be considered, you will have experience in a similar accounts role within a fast-paced environment and ideally be studying AAT (a study package will be offered if required). Strong communication skills are essential as this role involves lots of internal and external stakeholder interaction. Strong IT skills are also required including good working knowledge of Excel.
