Description

A leading telecommunications provider is seeking a Finance Planning Manager to join its Financial Planning & Analysis team. Working 37.5 hours per week, the role may be based in Guernsey, Jersey or the Isle of Man.

This commercially focused position will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis for the Enterprise Business Unit. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior commercial, sales and product leaders, providing clear financial insight to support strategic decisions, sustainable growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead revenue, margin and cost budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Provide robust financial reviews for major bids, tenders, renewals and commercial agreements.
• Build and challenge business cases, pricing models and scenario analyses.
• Monitor contract performance and identify opportunities to protect or improve margins.
• Oversee month-end Enterprise accounting, including revenue recognition, accruals and cost of sales.
• Deliver insightful dashboards, variance analysis and forward-looking reporting.
• Work with Procurement and operational teams to identify savings and optimise supplier arrangements.
• Lead monthly performance reviews and translate financial information into clear commercial actions.
• Maintain effective financial controls, governance and audit-ready documentation.

Skills and Experience
• A professional accounting qualification and membership of a recognised accounting body, or progression towards qualification supported by significant hands-on experience.
• Previous accounting experience within a commercial environment.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills and a high level of confidence using financial systems and technology.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences.
• Strong organisation, project management and leadership skills.
• A proactive, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach.

Experience within telecommunications, technology or a B2B Enterprise environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of IFRS 15, contract accounting, VBA, SQL or the use of AI to improve processes and efficiency.

A satisfactory Basic Police Disclosure will be required for this position.
