Description
Location: Taunton & surrounding areas

Looking for work that fits around your life rather than the other way around?
We're looking for enthusiastic and reliable Learning Support Assistants to work across schools in Taunton and the surrounding area. Whether you're looking to gain valuable experience in education, work around childcare or other commitments, or simply want the flexibility of choosing when you work, this could be a great fit.
You could work across primary, secondary and specialist settings, giving you the chance to experience different environments and support pupils with a range of needs.
What will you be doing?
Depending on the school and role, you could be:
• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
• Helping pupils access their learning and develop independence
• Supporting children and young people with SEND
• Providing social and emotional support
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Working alongside teachers and other support staff
• Gaining experience across different age groups and educational settings
We're looking for people who are:
• Patient, caring and reliable
• Adaptable and comfortable working in different environments
• Confident building positive relationships with children and young people
• Resilient and able to remain calm when faced with challenging behaviour
• Genuinely interested in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
Previous TA experience isn't essential. Experience in childcare, care work, youth work, coaching, mentoring, tutoring or volunteering can all provide valuable transferable skills.
Why flexible work?
• Choose the days you're available
• School hours, with no evenings or weekends
• Gain experience across different schools and age groups
• Build valuable SEND and classroom experience
• Work around studies, childcare or other commitments
• Opportunity to find a setting and role that's right for you
• Potential to progress into longer-term opportunities
Access to your own transport is beneficial, as we work with schools across Taunton and the surrounding areas.
If you're looking for meaningful work, valuable experience and the freedom to choose when you work, we'd love to hear from you.
