Location: Various SEND schools across Bristol and surrounding areas
Salary: Competitive daily rate (PAYE)
Contract: Flexible – Full-time and part-time available (term-time only)

About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant (TA), you’ll be placed in a variety of school settings that cater to pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Speech and Language Difficulties
Moderate or Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
Complex physical or medical needs
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
Supporting individual pupils or small groups with learning, behaviour and communication
Adapting tasks under teacher guidance to make learning accessible
Building positive, nurturing relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and understood
Using strategies such as visual schedules, sensory breaks, and alternative communication systems (e.g. PECs or Makaton)
Assisting with personal care routines, where needed
Promoting independence, confidence and emotional regulation
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide consistent, pupil-centred care
