Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people with moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and mental health needs? Do you want a role where your compassion, patience and positive energy matter more than your CV? We are recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant / College Support Worker to join a post-16 SEND team based at a Campus in Filton.

About the role

You will support learners with MLD and mental health needs to engage in lessons, build independence, boost confidence and thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment

Why this is a great place to work

The college is part of a multi-campus further education provider recently rated “Good” overall by Ofsted, with “Outstanding” for personal development and adult learning provision.

Inspectors praised how well learners are supported, how safe they feel, and how staff prioritise mental health and student well-being.

The college’s learning support services specialise in adapting lessons, providing assistive technologies, individual support and inclusive classroom strategies.

At the Filton campus, vocational, technical and SEND provision sit side by side — giving you a dynamic, inclusive setting.

The college offers supported internships for students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), combining learning with real-world work placements.
