This is an exciting opportunity to join a small and established finance team within a Family private office environment. Our client is seeking a Fund Accountant to take ownership of key financial reporting responsibilities linked to an investment structure involving a major US private equity firm.

With direct involvement in quarterly valuations, partner capital statements, and a suite of statutory accounts, this role offers technical variety and a chance to work closely with a dynamic senior leadership team. The successful applicant will have 3–5 years’ experience and demonstrate strong experience with IFRS and UK GAAP.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
• Preparing quarterly interim financial statements and PE-style NAV valuations for a private equity-backed investment company.
• Producing quarterly partner capital statements and supporting the wider reporting requirements for a GP/LP-style structure.
• Preparation of statutory accounts for other companies within the structure as required.
• Supporting ongoing financial projects and process improvements across the business.
• In due course, acting as an authorised signatory for bank transactions and securities trades.
• Collaborating with colleagues to maintain reporting quality and client service standards.
• Engaging in broader project work as the role evolves and new opportunities emerge.

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a recently qualified accountant with a background in fund accounting or financial services audit. Experience with IFRS and UK GAAP is essential. This role would suit someone from a fund administration or audit environment seeking more ownership over end-to-end financial reporting. Candidates who are part-qualified or qualified by experience will also be considered, provided they demonstrate a hands-on, enthusiastic approach to accounts preparation. Exposure to private equity-style reporting would be beneficial, but not essential.
