We are working with specialist schools in Cardiff who are looking for enthusiastic graduates to join their teams as Learning Support Assistants.
We welcome graduates from a range of backgrounds, including:
• Psychology
• Sports and Sports Science
• Creative Arts and Performing Arts
• Criminology
• Languages
• Education and Teaching
• Sociology and other social science subjects
• Other degree subjects where you have a passion for working with young people
No previous school-based experience is essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, making this a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a specialist educational settings in Cardiff.
What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting children and young people with additional needs in the classroom
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Helping pupils engage with learning and develop independence
• Supporting social, emotional and behavioural development
• Encouraging confidence and positive relationships
• Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff
• Helping create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
What’s on offer:
• Pay rates around £14.25 per hour
• Flexible full-time and part-time hours
• Short-term and long-term opportunities available

• Interested in gaining practical experience alongside their degree or after graduating
• Positive and willing to learn
• Able to work as part of a supportive team
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
