An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Data to join a growing, multi-jurisdictional financial services group.

Reporting to the Group CTO, this senior leadership role will lead and develop the Group’s data capability across its international operations, with responsibility for data architecture, governance, integrations, analytics and reporting. The successful candidate will ensure data is treated as a strategic asset supporting business operations, regulatory requirements, growth and the Group’s evolving AI ambitions.

The role is open to candidates based in Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man or the UK. Applicants must have the right to live and work in their chosen jurisdiction.

Key Responsibilities
• Own and develop the Group’s data architecture, strategy and roadmap.
• Lead the development and management of data warehouses, data lakes and integration platforms.
• Oversee data governance, quality, lineage and lifecycle management.
• Lead analytics, reporting and dashboard capability across the Group.
• Work closely with Infrastructure, Business Applications, Security and Data Protection teams.
• Support the Group’s AI strategy and ensure the appropriate data architecture and governance are in place.
• Lead and develop a team of Data Engineers and Data Analysts.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

The Ideal Candidate
Applicants should have:
• Significant experience in data architecture, data engineering or analytics leadership.
• A proven track record of leading enterprise-wide data functions and data strategy.
• Strong technical knowledge of data modelling, ETL/integration, data warehouses, data lakes and BI/reporting tools, such as Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, quality and lineage.
• Experience building and leading data teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience contributing to AI strategy and responsible AI governance.
• Experience within financial services, professional services or another regulated environment would be advantageous.
