Description
Our client is a privately owned, independent trust company providing bespoke fiduciary services to an international client base. It has extensive experience in establishing and administering wealth management and asset protection structures.
Role
Reporting to the Director / Head of Administration, the Senior Trust Manager will manage a team of trust administrators and oversee the day-to-day administration of an allocated client portfolio.
The role involves maintaining strong relationships with clients and intermediaries, supporting the achievement of team targets and ensuring that all internal and regulatory requirements are met.
Key responsibilities
• Manage, support and develop a team of trust administration professionals.
• Oversee the day-to-day administration of an allocated portfolio of clients.
• Act as a senior point of contact between administrators, clients and directors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, intermediaries and potential introducers.
• Review team performance, profitability, accuracy and progress against agreed targets.
• Delegate work effectively and provide technical support and training where required.
• Ensure deadlines, billing targets and cash-collection objectives are met.
• Prepare for and attend client meetings, leading meetings where appropriate.
• Resolve complex operational and managerial matters, escalating risks and exceptions when necessary.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to management and internal committee meetings.
• Support the development and implementation of new services, practices, processes and procedures.
• Complete performance and objective reviews for team members when required.
Person specification
• A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience within the trust industry.
• Previous management experience is essential.
• A relevant professional qualification, such as STEP or ICSA, is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of trust and company administration, financial transactions, financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
• A proven record of delivering high standards of client service.
• Successful client engagement and relationship-management experience.
• Experience of meeting billing, cash-collection and operational targets.
• The ability to oversee team performance against relevant key risk indicators.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• The ability to manage priorities, drive tasks forward and support others in meeting deadlines.
• A collaborative approach with the ability to foster effective teamwork.
